When I can’t change the way my system is set up, so I give an alternative solution that would accomadate them to come in at the time they want and they still get pissed.

When someone requests a time they want their car finished and I tell them they will try and finish by that time, but I can’t guarentee it because we don’t know exactly how many cars will be going into the shop that day. “Well you wouldn’t schedule me if you couldn’t get my car in!” Actually, not only are we scheduleing your vehicle to go in, but you have to factor in people who show up without an appointment and new and used cars we have to inspect, so no, I have no idea how many cars will be on the schedule when you bring your car in, because I can’t tell the future.

We’re told to under promise and over deliver, her car will probably be ready the same afternoon or the morning she wants it finished. Well before the time she wants it finished by. I’d say, we’re gonna over deliver.
